The course aims to help students to better understand the blockchain concepts and capabilities. It includes an introductory to the basic constructs of a blockchain, shows (in a simplified way) how a blockchain can be created and discusses different areas of application of blockchains and blockchain technology application benefits, challenges and limitations. The architecture of blockchain networks is also considered. The course is recommended for students of master level study program Business Informatics; but it can also be chosen by other master and bachelor study program students who are not familiar with blockchains technology.
