Medical Instrumentation(English)(2),24/25-R

The first part of the course explores characteristics and design of the typical measurement instruments, reviews basic parameters of the human physiological systems and their measurement principles. The course analyzes electrical measurement instruments and transducers for non-electrical measurements, especially those that are applicable to medical equipment. A large part of the course is laboratory classes: design and assembling of the measurement equipment prototypes, evaluation of their parameters, physiological measurements (biopotential, circulatory and respiratory).

The second part of the course reviews diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation instrumentation operating principles, design and characteristics. Particular attention is paid to safety aspects. Course content includes an independent medical instrument model design and prototyping from scratch.
