This subject will provide students an understanding of the importance of scientific publications, innovation, plagiarism and the consequences. Metrics of science will be discussed; citation index, Hirsch index. The forms of publication and the variations will be shown. The student will learn to select the best journal for publishing the article. Appropriate information will be sourced from the internet and databases to prepare a critical literature review for the article. Students will learn how to prepare the methods section, tables, figures and graphs for their articles so that they can independently prepare a quality article with the correct format for submission to their selected journal. This class will be interactive and students will be asked to share their written work for discussion.
